IS GORE IN?

Will Gore be the September surprise? Howard Fineman says "Yes", and this excites me. Fineman has always been one of the best reporters and not one to exaggerate. This week he says that Gore is likely to run. Seems that there is talk of a Gore/Obama ticket for the Democrats, and that appeals to me a lot more than the Hillary option. Will Hillary see this as her worst nightmare? I think so.




Time magazine made Gore the cover story last week, and in this issue there is a comment by Steve Jobs about the 20 foot hole we have dug ourselves into and how we need someone who knows how to build a ladder-Gore.

In Gore's new book, The Assault On Reason, he has once again correctly placed his hand on a vital problem: public apathy to demanding a government based on fact, reason and scientific policy. He has not been wrong on the Iraq war or Global Warming, and he is not wrong here as well. If we could just forget about the "lockbox" ( wrong, wrong, wrong) !
